Wonder Woman 1984 (also known as WW84: Wonder Woman) is an upcoming American superhero movie based on DC Comics character Wonder Woman, distributed by Warner Bruce Pictures. This is the 2017 Wonder Woman sequel and the ninth episode of DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Patty Jenkins, from the script she wrote with Jeff Johns and David Calham, from the story written by John and Jenkins. It stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, with Chris Pine, Kristen Wig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, and Connie Nelson. This is the fourth straight action theater movie featuring title characters, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Wonder Woman and Justice League (2017). Conversations about the sequel began shortly after the release of the first film in June 2017, and the decision to proceed next month was confirmed. Principal Photography Launched on June 13, 2018 - Filming simultaneously filmed at Warner Bruce Studios, Lewiston, England, as well as the District of Columbia in the United States and North Virginia, Tennife and Dicksford, Canary in Tenerife and Fuentantora in Canary. ۔ The island, and Alderia, in the city of Andalusia, Spain, and ended December 22, 2018, after six months of shooting. Additional filming took place in July 2019.

Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to be released in the United States on June 5, 2020 by Warner Brothers Pictures in Real D3D, Dolby Cinema, IMAX and IMAX 3D.

Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman: A Everlasting Demogoodie, Amazon Princess, and Warrior. Diana is the daughter of Thepesta, Queen of the Amazon, and daughter of Zeus, King of the Olympian Gods.
Chris Pine as Steve Trevor: An American Pilot, and Diana's love interest, which probably died during the events of the first movie.
Kristen Wig as Yadavis Manveira / Cheetah: An archaeologist who befriends Diana, has already developed abilities like a leopard.
Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord: A media businessman and entrepreneur best known for TV infomercials.
Robin Wright as Antwip: Hippolyta's dead sister, Amazon Army general, and Diana's nephew.
Connie Nelson as Hippolyta: The Queen of Timiرا and Mother of Diana.
In addition, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriela Willard, Christopher Polha and Amar Wakid have been cast in unknown roles.

Development
Gal Gadot, who originally signed with Wonder Woman for three feature films with the second feature, has pushed his deal further. The first film's director, Patty Jenkins, who was initially signed for only one film, showed interest in coming back to direct the sequel. In an interview with The Variety in June 2017, comic book author Jeff Johns revealed that he and Jenkins began writing treatments for the Wonder Woman sequel and had "a cool idea for others." In a question-and-answer session at the film screening of the film Women In Screening, Jenkins confirmed that she would really set the outcome. However, Jenkins later tweeted, "This was not a validation. Only ideas and hopes are being talked about".

On July 22, 2017, at the San Diego Comic Con, the studio officially announced the creation of a sequel, with Jenkins returning as director. It was titled Wonder Woman 2. In September 2017, it was officially confirmed that Jenkins would direct its sequel. On September 13, 2017, it was reported that David Colum, the author of The Expendables, would join the film in writing the script with Jenkins and Johns, who had been working on it for several months already. On February 28, 2018, it was reported that the film would be shot in a selected action sequence with an IMX movie camera. By the end of May 2018, longtime DCEU producer Zack Snyder has confirmed on social media platform Vero that he will work with his wife, Deborah Snyder, as a producer on Wonder Woman sequel. On June 13, 2018, the movie was titled Wonder Woman 1984. Sources close to Jenkins described it as a stand-alone movie, "like the Indiana Jones or [James] Bond films, rather than a permanent story that requires a lot of episodes."

Before production
Pre-production officially debuted in the UK by early December 2017.  That same month, the director Patty Jenkins reported that the film would be another great love story. [29] In April 2018, the film was confirmed to be set in the 1980s.  Next month production designer Elaine Bonetto (Emily, Wonder Woman) was announced for a sequel, as well as Academy Award-winning Lindy Hemming returning as a clothing designer.

Casting
In September 2017, Gal Gadot's return as the title was confirmed.  On February 28, 2018, it was reported that Kirsten Wig is in talks with the studio to play the lead role of the film's villain,  with director Patty Jenkins releasing her cast next month. Confirmed By March 28, Pedro Pascal, who played the role of Ed Indelchito in the canceled 2011 Wonder Woman television adaptation pilot, was cast as an unknown key, later revealed to be Maxwell Lord.  On June 13, Jenkins confirmed Chris Pine's involvement as Steve Trevor via Twitter.  On July 24, 2018, Natasha Rothwell was announced in an unknown role.  A few days later, on July 27, Ravi Patel and Gabriella Vlad also joined the film, their roles being wrapped up as well.  By the end of August, Connie Nelson and Robin Wright were confirmed to republish their roles as Hippolyta and Antipo in a flashback sequence.  In November 2018, Christopher Polha revealed that he had a role in the film.

Filming
Principal photography began June 13, 2018, under the working title of Magazine Hour.  Filming took place at several locations around England's Warner Bruce Studios, Lewiston, and the United States District of Columbia and Northern Virginia, including Landmark Mall in Alexandria, Virginia, and Georgetown during June and July 2018. included.   38 Shot in Alexandria from June 18 to July 14 in Alexandria. [[57] By the middle of November 2018, Pedro Pascal completed the filming of his role. [58] Principal photography was completed on December 22, 2018, after a six-month shoot. Post Production
Richard Pearson will serve as editor of Wonder Woman 1984. [35] John Moffat (Harry Potter and Life) will serve as the overall visual effects supervisor for the film. [] २] [] 63] Double Negative (DENEG), Frame Store and Meth Studios will provide visual visuals of the film. [] 64] [] 65] [] 66 Alexis Wajbruth is serving as the visual effects supervisor of the Frame Store. [] 67 In December 2019, Jenkins revealed that the work on the film had been completed six months earlier. [] 68]

Music
On August 22, 2018, Hans Zimmer was announced as the composer of Wonder Woman 1984, replacing debutant filmmaker Rupert Gregson Williams. Zimmer previously scored the first and second films in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, DC Extended Universe. [69]

Release
Wonder Woman 1984 is to be released on June 5, 2020 in the United States by RealDD, Dolby Cinema, and Warner Bruce Pictures in the IMAX thread. [70] It was first set on December 13, 2019, and then departed on November 1, 2019, before setting a mid-2020 release date.
